A solution to the proposed cancellation of the Winter Fuel Allowance
There will be many old age pensioners deeply concerned about the proposed loss of the annual winter fuel payment. There appears to be considerable opposition aimed at the government of the effect this will have on them. The matter is not yet closed but it would seem likely that many will lose this benefit whatever the outcome.
A solution is the celebrated B-Warm heated seat cover – designed in Wales for a wife who suffered with multiple health problems while living in a typical old, cold cottage. Sadly, she died but her husband Martin, having gone through bereavement, decided to arrange manufacture and distribution of the resulting product, now patented, and sold in thousands with multiple awards for its health and wellbeing benefits, besides its energy saving. It is fitted to a typical high back armchair or recliner yet can be removed easily for washing in a machine at low temperature. It is fully CE certified and costs less than 1p per hour to run, even on the highest of four settings, with monitoring of its safety and performance. It offers a sense of wellbeing which improves recovery and mobility as well as maintaining the user’s core temperature.
Some 25,000 have been sold to date with stocks available locally. It was trialled by Swansea University (2022) with glowing results.
Savings of up to 39% energy cost have been achieved (National Energy Action charity trial 2017) so simply by turning down background heating by 3 Celsius such savings can be achieved. It comes in one colour - dark blue. It pays for itself in less than three months if employed with commonsense, it is then a return on the investment.
